We're actively seeking a talented Senior Vulnerability Management Engineer to join our Cyber Operations team in Newport Beach, CA. This role is hybrid with 2-3 days in the office. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As the Senior Vulnerability Management Engineer, you will serve as technical lead for our Vulnerability Management service. Your Vulnerability Management background will help us drive the identification, assessment, communication, and remediation of vulnerabilities and configuration management findings across our enterprise. With a strong technical expertise, we will look to you to better assess the risk of complex threats and vulnerabilities. Using your previous experience, you will help us improve and optimize our existing capabilities as well as help to propose and implement newer capabilities such as a vulnerability disclosure process or attack surface monitoring.

You will fill a new role that is part of a highly collaborative team of fellow cybersecurity analysts and engineers. Our VM team consists of remote and hybrid staff across Pacific and Eastern Time zones. This role will be joining a broader Cyber Operations team supporting, Vulnerability Management, Security Monitoring, and Incident Response services. The Cyber Operations team reports directly to our CISO and falls under a broader organization responsible for operational and non-financial risk management.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Work with Service Lead and cross-functional teams to enhance existing Vulnerability Management processes to include, but not limited to, vulnerability assessments/scanning, remediation guidance, VM tools maintenance/configuration, risk issue tracking and metrics reporting.

  • Monitor, assess, and report on vulnerability threat intelligence.

  • Establish and execute processes designed to provide oversight of Configuration Management efforts across the enterprise.

  • Establish and execute processes designed to provide oversight of Application Security efforts across the enterprise.

  • Explore the use of new tools and technologies to drive improvements to existing capabilities or the launching of new capabilities.

  • Support your broader team in understanding the technical details surrounding vulnerabilities to drive a more accurate assessment of risk.

The experience you bring
  • 4+ years hands-on experience performing vulnerability management.

  • 8+ years' experience in information security.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

What makes you stand out
  • Process oriented mindset.

  • Experience working within a "Three Lines of Defense" model operating under a 2nd line capacity.

  • Experience using Qualys, Amazon Inspector, ServiceNow, JFrog Artifactory, or SonarQube.

  • Configuration Management experience.

  • Application security experience.

  • Experience in process automation and API/tool integration.

  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.

Base Pay Range

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$131,040.00 - $160,160.00
